The Role
This particular role is based in the companies Beauty division and is primarily centred on the Assistant Product Manager working alongside the Product Manager, in order to oversee the creation of new products. This will then support the vision of two of the companies leading brands and firmly help the company keep their place as one of the market leaders within this division. Coinciding with this, it would be your job to instil passion and display accurate product knowledge throughout the business and make this knowledge well known when speaking to external partners.
Within this role, you will have the opportunity to undertake the portfolio planning and support the end to end delivery of NPD across both major brands. It will be your responsibility to work with the supply chain teams and the commercial finance teams in order to make sure PO’s are raised and P&Ls are managed properly. Additionally, there will be major work with the marketing team and sales team in order to make sure the in-store execution is up to standard.
What you will need to possess?
Within this role it would be ideal to have some experience with delivering NPD and to have done so ideally with 3rd party suppliers and oversee things from the concept stages to the launch. Someone who has project management capabilities would be useful having worked in a similar type of role to an Assistant Product Manager as it would help you in this role. Working with brands within a wide range of categories will provide the adequate knowledge for you to succeed and feel comfortable as an Assistant Product Manager. Lastly, being someone who has a passion for beauty or a good knowledge of the global beauty industry can aide you to become a successful Assistant Product Manager.
