To cover a period of maternity leave an unmissable opportunity has arisen in the category function to manage the Tesco account. Reporting into the Category Controller the role of Category Manager is responsible for delivering the category strategy for Tesco.

You will be a key pillar in this matrix organisation, working alongside colleagues in sales and marketing. You will be tasked with identifying and developing category selling stories that are grounded in sound commercial insights and can be developed into deliverable in-store executions. In this lean business you will have a lot of visibility and influence and will be relied upon to develop the consumer and shopper messages and recommendations for your customer by bringing the data to life.

This role will suit an experienced Category Manager with an engaging style and brilliant business acumen. This is not just a data role, you will need to be a strategic operator with the ability to influence and develop strong working relationships with both internal and external stakeholders. If you're looking for a business that will challenge you and a role that turns insights into tangible actions then look no further! You will be of graduate calibre with a track record of delivering results in a highly focussed commercial environment. You must have excellent presentation and commercial skills and be proficient with continuous data sets such as Nielsen, Kantar and Dunnhumby.

This role is for a fixed term of 9-12 months and candidates will need to be available at less that one months notice. Day rate is not available for this role. For candidates looking for a little flexibility, there is the option of 4 days per week. This is an office based role and will require you to travel to Tesco around twice a month.
