Supply Chain Manager – Fresh Food

Our client is a rapidly growing, leading supplier of short-shelf life food products. The business have really established themselves in recent years as a market leading producer in their category. They have UK and international production facilities supplying the top 4 grocery and discount retail channel. Our client can offer an inclusive, dynamic culture where people are progressed quickly through the business. Due to growth a great opportunity has arisen for a Supply Chain Manager to join the team, reporting into the current Site Manager.

This role will be pivotal in understanding our client’s current supply chain and working towards continuous improvement. You will work closely with all other areas of the business including procurement, commercial and warehouse teams.

Key responsibilities of the role will include:

  • Understanding supply chain and overall costings
  • Negotiating, co-ordinating logistics and packaging
  • Helping to implement new systems and different ways of working to help the business adapt

As the product category is fast-paced, you must be adaptable and able to think on your feet.

In order to be considered for this position you must have previous experience of managing supply chains in an FMCG environment. It would be helpful to have worked with short-shelf life products such as fresh or chilled foods. Ideally you will have worked with some sort of ERP system. The successful candidate will need to be numerical, analytical and have excellent communication skills both internally and externally.
