Due to a new exciting strategy my client is looking for an inspirational Sales Director to undertake the responsibility for leading, developing and energising the Sales Team.

My client is a fortune global 500 company, which operates worldwide with leading brands across several FMCG categories.



Due to the nature of the role and the need to be close to the business the role will require you to be in the office in Hertfordshire a minimum of 4 days a week.



Description



The Sales Director will lead a team of roughly 20 -25 employees. The Sales Director will be responsible for leading/developing/energising the team in order to drive profitable growth across all retail channels.

  • Develop stales strategy based on market needs, trade structure, competitive situation and company targets
  • Develop concept for sales organisation with regard to future requirements
  • Be a key player on management team level to prepare organisation for future growth path in areas of new business models; new category/brand launches.

Profile

  • Core profile in Sales across a range of channels , with also some experience in Brand Management or Trade Marketing
  • An in depth understanding of the key components of the sales and customer marketing functions with a background of achievement in strategic and business planning, sales and profit growth and financial management.
  • Deep knowledge of UK retail
  • A history of leading positive change efforts that have driven organisation growth
  • Driver of new ways of doing business
  • Strong leadership skills and drive to over deliver on targets
  • Proven ability to build, grow and inspire teams via recruiting , training and performance management
