Interim Ingredients Buyer
A major UK manufacturer of branded and own brand food are seeking an experienced Purchasing professional to take on an interim contract with the possibility of long term extension of going permanent.
You will be joining a global business with many beloved brands and high internal standards. They have a well-managed and sustainable Supply Chain and a process led approach to Procurement.
You will be supported by a well-established and passionate team, with lots of knowledge about their respective product categories. The organisation offer flexibility around working away from the office and start times.
You will be a Category Buyer for some of the company's key areas of spend, which require regular attention and contract management. You will be responsible for route-to-market approval and strategy, with oversight of New-Product-Development project cycles.
By using your expertise in commodity procurement, you will anticipate and protect the business against disruption and fluctuations in the Supply Chain. You will focus on cost saving exercises and quality improvement activities.
You will have previous experience working with food based raw materials, with a background of handling 7 and 8 figures of spend. You will be able to demonstrate and communicate a solid understanding of various commodities, and a general appreciation for how to negotiate in the international supplier market.
You will be available at no more than 4 weeks' notice and have full UK working rights.
