The Business 

We are looking to recruit an experience category manager for a branded and own label producer of chilled products in the East Midlands area.  The business has numerous sites around the UK and supplies to all of the UK’s leading retail and food service businesses. They are proud to be at the forefront of their sector and have a strong desire to develop candidates into the future leaders of the business.

The Role

You will be expected to develop deep relationships with key retail clients, becoming an ambassador for the business. You will play a key part in developing and delivering annual strategy plans and present compelling category, market and customer insights, making recommendations which drive sustainable growth for the mutual benefit of the business and their key external customers.

The Individual

To be successful you will be an experienced Category Manager with at least 3 years of experience within a food based FMCG environment who can demonstrate a proven ability to communicate complex data to internal and external stakeholders. You will have experience of working within the UK top 5, ideally within chilled sector. You should have an excellent level of knowledge and experience working with IRI/Nielsen EPOS data as well as Kantar. Experience with in house data sources such as Dunnhumby would be beneficial. Strong analytical skills with the personality to create and drive actionable strategy and insight are essential for the role.
