The National Account Manager role:

This high-value and important National Account Manager’s role will be predominantly office based with travel to customers’ sites as required. Therefore, a home location in Oxfordshire, Berkshire, Warwickshire or Gloucestershire is preferred. Key responsibilities:

  • Commercially responsible for two major grocery accounts generating sales c£10M
  • Work in close partnership with buyers to develop bespoke and own-label solutions
  • Cradle to grave involvement in the product development process
  • Fully accountable for delivering against forecast by customer
  • Negotiate to achieve maximum profitability in all customer agreements
  • Activate promotions in order to respond to market challenges and opportunities

The National Account Manager profile:

With a home location in Oxfordshire, Berkshire, Warwickshire or Gloucestershire is preferred

we are looking for an experienced National Account Manager who can perform in this high profile, fast-paced and demanding role. The potential to develop beyond this role is important.

Suitable candidates will have the following profile:

  • At least 5 years of National Account Manager level experience
  • Experience working with major retailers in grocery or High Street channels
  • Excellent negotiation skills, demonstrated through successful range reviews
  • Experienced in own-label or far-east sourced products as well as UK delivered
  • Numerate and IT literate
  • Advanced interpersonal and influence skills
  • Ambitious and able to progress to a leadership role in the future
