A branded and own-label food manufacturer operating within one of the country’s fastest growing food categories is seeking to appoint a National Account Manager to develop business within the Convenience, Discounter and Wholesale categories. They have an ambitious growth plans which will involve driving brand exposure and extending its reach into food to go categories.
As National Account Manager you will be charged with exploiting the sizeable opportunities within the Convenience, Discounter and Wholesale channels with a focus on driving the brand within this customer base. This will include Aldi, Lidl, Costco and Spar. The business operates across multiple categories from hot snacking products to proteins and the role involves a high level of NPD engagement and interaction with the manufacturing process. Our client has multiple sites across the country, as such regular UK travel will be required within the role.
In this instance, the chosen candidate must demonstrate experience of FMCG account management and business development with national customers within the convenience/discounter channels. With the pace and short shelf life nature of the product the role will be fast paced and require a cross functional engagement with the NPD team.
