The Role

Our client is hiring an international sales manager who will be focused on managing sales into the grocery channel in Europe. Primary responsibility is to manage relationships with strategically appointed distributors that sell into the leading grocers.

You will be responsible for optimising sales in existing markets via the effective management of distributors and will be able to identify growth opportunities in new export markets where a distributor has yet to be appointed.

This is a home-based position. Candidates can live anywhere in the UK.

The business will create an enticing financial package designed to attract the desired candidate. It is likely that the package will include a basic salary of £40,000-55,000 plus bonus and benefits.

The Person

Previous experience in European sales is essential for this international sales manager position. A background in the pet sector in Europe is important as is a background in distributor management.

You will be able to draw upon experience of identifying, appointing and subsequently managing distributors, agreeing joint business plans and delivering growth in multiple markets.

Fluency in a 2^nd European language (especially French) is desirable for this position but not essential.
