Job Details
A great opportunity has arisen for an Indirect Buying professional to join my client a renowned FMCG business based in Buckinghamshire. My client is a global FMCG business, they distribute to over 50 countries with an operation in over 25 countries.
As Senior Category Buyer you will be responsible for leading sourcing activities and contract management across the indirect category related to Transport and Logistics across the EMEA region. As the Senior Category Manager you will be a strong negotiator with a cost saving mentality.
You responsibilities will include:
- Completing data analysis on spend and vendors
- Managing contracts including SLA's and implementing review schedules
- Lead sourcing and contract activities across the region and category in order to drive the best value for the business
- Looking at ways to improve processes/ways of working including systems enhancements
- Working collaboratively with the wider region and rolling out best practice
- Managing the entire strategic sourcing process from supplier sourcing to benchmarking
The ideal candidate will have the following:
- Strong procurement experience and proven experience in an indirect category
- Able to manage budgets and prioritise work
- Strong negotiation skills
- Ability to speak a European language advantageous
- Able to manage and influence stakeholders at all levels
- Strong communicator
