Senior Buyer - Ingredients and Commodities

Your new company
This multi-national company manufacture and supply some of the UK's biggest food brands and food products to retailers and suppliers. Working in their modern, vibrant and state of the art working facilities, they are looking to recruit a commodities Buyer Senior Buyer as a result of continuous demand for their products.

Your new role
Working closely with the Head of Buying your main objective is to ensure the procurement of specific food ingredients are at the lowest cost for the quantity, quality and delivery requirements of the company. You'll also be using effective analysis tools to maintain stock levels, and be negotiating cost price of raw materials. As an expert in your market-place, you will also be accountable for managing the contracts with your suppliers, planning, organising and coordinating their performance and activity

What you'll need to succeed
Ideally you will have experience in the Purchasing and Procurement of Food Ingredients and / or the Commodities that go in to the production of foods, within a high volume FMCG environment. In this environment you will have developed outstanding commercial, organisation and influencing skills. You will be a shrewd negotiator, with the ability to prioritise a demanding workload. you will also bring excellent communication and influencing skills, that will enable you to build strong relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
