A new position has just become available for an up and coming National Account Manager working within the DIY industry with experience dealing with large retailers, builder’s merchants and wholesalers. This is a great opportunity for a well-connected Account Manager to take on a fantastic and interesting new challenge with a rapidly expanding company in an exciting industry.

This family owned business operates with a retail side to the business, as well as a distribution side. Having recently acquired new licences to expand their product range on the DIY side of the business, they are now looking to further explore this channel with the help of a knowledgeable Account Manager to get them started.

The ideal candidate will be an up and coming National Account Manager that has previously worked with the likes of the Kingfisher Group, Wickes, Travis Perkins, Homebase and the like in the DIY channel. You will need experience dealing with a high number of products, as the portfolio you will be working with is 2000 products strong. The business have aspirations to expand further, with plans of expanding their ecommerce channel and then eventually expanding into the HoReCa channel in the future.

Some points on the ideal candidate:

  • Previous Account Management experience within DIY channel
  • Experience of dealing with high volumes of SKUs
  • High levels of computer literacy necessary
  • Proven track record of New Business development
  • Highly proficient knowledge of the DIY and Builder’s Merchant channels
  • Diverse and adaptable sales professional
  • Enthusiastic and passionate about the industry

This is an excellent opportunity for a National Account Manager with excellent DIY industry knowledge to join this company and really grow and expand this channel of their business. As this is a home based role, there is no restriction on where the ideal candidate needs to be based, but easy access to the motorway networks would be ideal.
