The Head of Trade Marketing shall be directly responsible for the implementation of trade marketing activity across the company. This will be achieved through the creation and delivery of customer account plans which are in line with the overarching brand strategy.  

The role includes building relationships with key on/off trade and specialist clients whilst working closely with the sales and stock control teams. The overall objectives of the role are to drive distribution, increase value, execute the key strategies and maintain agreed budgets.  

The ideal candidate will:

Be passionate about champagne
Have strong experience working within the premium branded drinks sector 
Have a solid understanding of UK grocery retail and had exposure to buyers 
Have a good understanding of the champagne category and its dynamics
Be proficient in the use of market data & trends [Nielsen / IRI / Kantar etc] 
Have experience of running trade marketing campaigns in retail 
Have had exposure to the travel retail sector and understand its nuances
Have an understanding of the UK on trade including key players and market dynamics
Have a solid understanding of brand management
Be proficient in the creation and delivery of targeted powerpoint presentations
Experience of working with and managing external agencies
Experience of delivering events within agreed budgets 
Be comfortable creating brand appropriate consumer facing content [e.g. newsletters]
Have strong commercial acumen and be proficient in managing budgets

Be degree qualified with a minimum of 5 years experience in a trade marketing [or other relevant] role

Line management experience
Exceptional time management skills and attention to detail

WSET qualification
CIM qualification
Experience of copy writing
