My client is a leading blue-chip FMCG business that operates globally with sites throughout Europe. They manufacture and distribute a wide range of well known consumer products to both retail and wholesale customers. Role:
The successful Engineering Manager will work closely with the Site Manager, taking responsibility for a team of multi-disciplined engineers. Focus areas include Project Engineering, Site Services & Facilities and Reactive & Proactive Maintenance across a 24/7 site. Managing the sites capital investment plans, there will be a number of interesting projects and the Engineering Manager will be required to provide the leadership and vision to manage these projects, alongside ensuring development of the team.
Key responsibilities:
• Ensuring there is a strong focus on the Engineering strategy for the site and providing the appropriate leadership for both the site in general and the Engineering Team.
• Identify and coordinate capital investment, facilitating flexibility, safety, customer service, productivity, quality and performance.
• Establishing and owning the yoy site capital budget alongside the Senior Management Team.
• Utilising specific project management techniques to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget.
• Create a systematic training and development plan to ensure continued progression for the Engineering Team and a culture of succession planning.
• Instill a culture of continuous improvement.
Requirements:
Applicants will need to demonstrate the following experience:
• Chartered Engineer with a relevant Degree and Management Qualification.
• IOSH/NEBOSH.
• Proven experience working as an Engineering Manager with Project Management experience.
• Ability to understand the strategic direction of the business and influence from an Engineering perspective.
• A strong commercial awareness.
• The ability to continually develop a team of multi-discipline Engineers.
