We are currently looking for an experienced account manager with a track record of managing the major retailers / food grocers.

About Our Client:

Our client is an established business with a fantastic history and a reputation for quality products. They supply the major food retailers and discounters. They manufacture a variety of award winning food products from their specialist facilities in Leicestershire. They work closely with local suppliers to ensure their products are 100% British. They innovate new products whilst ensuring they pay homage to tradition and their established product lines.

About The Role:

This role will focus on retail sales within the business and will manage a number of the food retailers / discounters depending on where the successful candidates strengths best lie - i.e. if you have a great relationship with Sainsbury's but little experience with Asda there is some flexibility with the customers you will work with. You will utilise your experience in account management, category and NPD to drive commercial results for the business. Commercial wins is what this role is all about. You will ensure relationships with the customers is sustainable and move towards longer term partnerships. A collaborative approach is a must.

The Ideal Candidate:

The ideal candidate will have experience managing multiple major supermarkets and discounters. You will have a strong FMCG/Food background and understanding of the supermarket supply chain. You will be dynamic and flexible - working within a small team you will need to be able to get hands on. Culture fit is very important and the business would lend itself to someone who is a dedicated team player who is happy to get stuck in with a relaxed approach and a good sense of humor. You will also need to be good with and know your numbers; margins, sales volumes, market shares etc.

Minimum Requirements:

To be considered for this role, you must have experience managing the major supermarkets and/or discounters. You will need to have experience in FMCG, ideally within the short shelf life / chilled food sector.

Salary:

Circa £55k - £60k DOE + package
