An exciting opportunity to join a world leading branded business in a challenging and diverse Packaging Buying role.

As a seasoned Packaging Procurement expert this branded International organisation will give you the opportunity to grow and develop your capabilities within the packaging category equipping you to operate in an environment where your diplomacy and interpersonal skills are as important as your technical procurement skills.

You'll be at the centre of one of the most challenging and active regions, with multiple stakeholders and highest concentration of businesses. You'll be responsible for the leadership and facilitation of category management processes within the packaging category, along with leadership of/support for the deployment of the resulting category strategies. It's a vital role, where strategies are often set, implemented and then deployed across other regions. You'll have regular engagement with the group packaging community facilitating cross-divisional working, information sharing and benefits realisation along with the management of commercial negotiations with key suppliers.

To be a success you'll have a thorough procurement knowledge across the range of all packaging categories and an excellent track record for realising value and opportunity. One of your key skills will be the ability to take ownership for the leadership, development and deployment of your category ideally gained within the FMCG sector. A good understanding and previous application of e-sourcing/ on-line negotiation strategies and excellent stakeholder engagement skills are essential.
