About The Business: 

This exciting, international drinks business are bringing their own particular style to the UK.  

Landing in early 2018 they have already made some huge strides and this is an opportunity for a commercially focused and sales led General Manager to steer the ship on what is going to be a phenomenal and successful journey. 

This is a brand new category and one that has proof of concept in other geographical markets having seen amazing growth across grocery, convenience, impulse and out of home channels.  

The business is incredibly well funded and the owners are committed to making the UK an outstanding success.  

 

About The Opportunity: 

UK General Manager - Exciting UK Drinks launch

International Kombucha Brand 

Flexible location although 2 -3 days per week in Berkshire, United Kingdom

  • £100,000 - £140,000 Basic salary
  • Excellent Bonus

  • LTIP/Equity options - Seven figure exit opportunity


Working closely with the owners to develop the UK strategy the General manager will take ownership for Sales, Marketing, Operations, HR & Finance although the focus will always be on growth, growth, growth! 

You will lead, inspire, motivate and build the team to make the business the dominant brand in the UK and create great value for yourself, the business & the investors. 

This is a hands on role - there are no ego's here and leading from the front is imperative. As is creating a fun, energised and brilliant place to work. 

 

About You: 

Preferably you will have previous experience of building brands or businesses from a country manager/general manager perspective. If not, you have proven and demonstrable experience of leading sales functions and are ready to step up into the broader management role yet never losing sight of your sales roots. 

Experience and ability to set and understand broader strategy whilst being happy mucking in is also key - there are no room for ego's here. Commitment is unswerving and you will lead from the front. 

Previous experience in the drinks industry could be a distinct advantage but is not a must. However, experience and understanding of how to build and grow brands across grocery, convenience, impulse and out of home absolutely is! A creative approach to brand building and business development is another attribute that will serve you well. 

You will understand people, how to motivate, inspire and ultimately develop future stars - emotional intelligence is critical. As is ambition - not just for you but for the business, the brand and your people - you will revel in seeing people and the business grow.
