Commercial Executive 

Successful Scottish Food Business with an excellent reputation and outstanding products.

As this is a hands on role the Candidate will be expected to:

·         Identify key areas for growth on a regional, domestic and international scale into Food Service and Retail within defined territories in keeping with commercial strategy – candidate must be proficient in French and able to communicate clearly on a business level

·         Seek out and exploit new business opportunities and market entry strategies in each territory

·         Deliver long term and sustainable partnerships with the above

·         Monitor & report results vs budgets and objectives

·         Accountability and ownership of external stakeholders from quoting per product  to final invoicing stage – paying close attention to payment structure

·         Liase with existing and new suppliers of raw material on varied species

·         Liase closely and on a regular basis with production and major service providers

·         Apply KPI’s, forecasting & reporting  to account management daily role

·         Be active in the market and up to speed with current market intelligence

·         Be active in account management from both a strategic basis to daily smaller production customers

·         Be active in NPD and work cross departmentally to ensure involvement from all key departments

·         Be able to drive business development across departments by ensuring a comprehensive understanding of products and  packaging formats

·         Add creative input into new website designs and strategies to promote the company

·         Building and expanding customer database for own brand products

CANDIDATE MUST BE PROFICIENT AND COMPETENT IN FRENCH AT A BUSINESS LEVEL

Preferred Skills

Computer skills – knowledge of Sage would be advantageous

Ability to motivate from an analytical and creative approach

Food Service / Retail experience preferable
