Marketing Manager - Gin Brand
We Brits bought 47 millions bottles of gin in 2017! Sales of the spirt grew more than any other spirit sold in UK in the last year and the craze doesn’t look to be slowing down any time soon with new distilleries opening up every day, it’s certainly an exciting category to be working in. We are recruiting a really exciting position for a distillery that has been distilling gin long before the “craft gin craze” but employs the same entrepreneurial spirit (excuse the pun!) and family feel as some of the new craft kids on the block. In an especially exciting time of growth, they are looking to recruit a Marketing Manager to join their London based team.
Your role will involve working with the Marketing Director and Managing Director to agree the overall strategy, direction and calendar of trade and consumer marketing activities then taking full responsibility for delivering this on a daily, weekly and monthly basis with the support of the wider marketing team.
The role will involve both hands-on personal project management of key tasks and the management of the marketing team as well as liaising with their UK and international sales teams.
Your remit will extend across the full suite of marketing activities: from NPD to trade activation plans, from distillery events and consumer shows to PR and social media management. This is a senior position within the business that is about managing the Marketing team, ensuring projects are completed on time and on budget and brand direction is maintained.
You will need to bring to the role the experience required to manage a growing team as well as a breadth of personal experience in both trade and consumer marketing. Organisational, time-management and communication skills are key to success in this role. The business is growing quickly and things can change from week-to-week – at a personality level it is important that you can embrace this. It is important that you come with experience working for an alcoholic drink brand, a passion for gin, and the ability to work from the London office 5 days a week.
(we are not looking for candidates who are looking to take a step up – we need someone who can hit the ground running and own the role)
