Reports to: Account Manager

Role Summary

Having just celebrated 10 years since launch, Freesat continue to go from strength to strength with some exciting new strategies in the coming years to broaden their proposition within retail.  As a Freesat Retail Support Representative you will be responsible for driving the growth of Freesat within a geographical territory of specified retailers.  Your mission is to drive the sales of Freesat ensuring every retailer is enthusiastic, informed and prepared to engage with their consumers about the benefits and value of Freesat.  You will develop a strategy within the individual retailers you engage with to ensure that you add value for both their business and Freesat’s.  You will work as part of a highly dedicated and motivated team who continually look for fresh, new and inspiring ways to interact with retailers and the public alike.   

Main duties and responsibilities

Training & Engagement  

  • Plan and deliver creative and engaging training sessions for retailers on a one to one and group basis to ultimately drive sales within your region 
  • Conducting weekend and out of hours training sessions which support the knowledge and sales abilities of the wider teams within retail stores
  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with Regional Managers, Store Managers and sales staff
  • Conduct brand engagement, demonstration and promotional activity with retailers and consumers which create excitement


  • Build and champion the Freesat brand within stores and at events
  • Run incentives and regional initiatives which support the awareness and sales of Freesat
  • Manage POS within stores ensuring displays are maintained and maximised to market Freesat to best effect (whilst adhering to Freesat and retailer guidelines)
  • Manage the presentation and stock availability of products within stores

Events (Occasionally)

  • Liaise with the client to help in the organisation and execution of events
  • Participating in local dealer or national events


  • Complete journey plans and administration as defined by the company
  • Attention to detail in capturing in store reporting information and insights
  • Regular communication back to relevant Freesat clients on competitor, promotional, stock, sales, training and POS matters
  • Meet team and individual KPIs
  • Maintain strict mileage and expense records
  • Conduct yourself in a professional manner as laid out in the Retail Marketing Group guide
  • Anything else deemed appropriate by either the company or client
