The Role:

My client is looking to recruit a highly motivated, driven and passionate candidate. This role will be a mixture of following up leads and creating new business opportunities. It will involve working with and selling to customers in the foodservice sector. End-user customers will include those in education, hotels and restaurants as well as contract catering, private clubs and businesses.

Customer contacts would include head and executive chefs, buyers and F+B managers. Indirect customers and partnerships will be with kitchen design consultants and catering equipment dealers and distributers.

The Candidate:

Ideally all candidates will have a culinary background of some kind, ideally a chef qualification or time served in a commercial kitchen. Alternatively, candidates will have experience front of house with a keen interest in cooking.

The role will involve giving equipment and cooking demonstrations, so it is important that candidates feel confident around chefs and kitchen staff.

Candidates will ideally have some experience of sales but more importantly is ambitious and driven with good communication skills, and a confidence to make ‘commercial sales’ decisions. The ability to identify new opportunities and to confidently communicate the products features and benefits is essential.

This is a role that would suit people with an entrepreneurial flair for business with the drive and ambition to treat the job like it’s their own business.
