International Account Manager – London + European Travel

The Role – International Account Manager

  • Identifying and developing new business opportunities within the following sectors:
    • International markets;
    • Foodservice, particularly the ingredients category;
    • Other tbc sectors that are identified as growth opportunities;
  • Building and managing our sales and relationships with existing clients within your sectors;
  • Developing strategies to increase distribution in existing accounts to maximise sales;
  • Managing listings and promotions for the growing product range within the above distribution channels;
  • Working with the marketing team to plan in-store promotional activity through creative point of sale materials, tastings and activation campaigns;
  • Assisting with new product development and launches;
  • Collecting customer feedback and market research as needed;
  • Tracking sales data and reporting to senior company managers;
  • Maintain at all times a professional demeanour with clients and customers;
  • Joining the team at trade expos, this can include weekends and evenings;
  • Other tasks that come up in the day-to-day running of a fun and agile start-up.

About You

  • Sales experience - Two years or more of sales experience, ideally within the fast moving consuming goods (FMCG) sector, or food product sales;
  • Project manager - you will be able to see a project through from start to finish, communicating issues with the team, ensuring buy in at key stages, informing key players of progress;
  • A people person - Keen interpersonal skills and an ability to relate to people from diverse backgrounds - your goal is to build strong relationships and open doors to more buyers and contacts in the areas you will manage;
  • Have hunger, initiative and enthusiasm -  We need someone with an entrepreneurial spirit with demonstrable commercial awareness, sensibility and negotiating skills;
  • Demonstrable writing, speaking and presentation skills;
  • Skilled at Office Suite, particularly Excel, Powerpoint and Word – you need to know your pivot tables and lookups, or be cunning enough to learn them on your own;
  • A demonstrable ability to think outside the box, innovate and think creatively;
  • University level qualifications desired, but not essential;
  • Full driver’s license.
