National Sales Manager – Quality Assured Trademark.
£45,158 to £49,789 Basic plus bonus, plus company car
Our client owns and operates one of the best, and certainly one of the most innovative quality assured trademarks in the food industry today. Widely recognised as one of the leading accreditation brands in the food industry, our client works tirelessly to promote standards of hygiene, health and safety, traceability as well as ethical standards across its own particular sectors of the food industry. Although this is very much a sales role, you will not be taking any orders ! Rather it will be your job to promote the benefits of membership to both the food retail channel, as well as food manufacturers. For this reason it is essential that you are experienced in selling into major food retailers ( the likes of Asda, Sainsbury’s, Morrison’s, Tesco, M & S, Waitrose, Coop etc ), or the major food manufacturers ( the likes of Bakkavor, Premier Foods, Two Sisters, Greencore etc ). Experience of one of these is essential. An understanding of both would be a bonus.
Experience of having worked with a similar accreditation brand ( the likes of Red Tractor, The Vegan Society, Linda McCartney, Weightwatchers etc ) would be a bonus, however it is more important you can demonstrate a strong commercial ability. Although you will not be taking orders directly from customers, your success will be obvious for all to see, so definitely no corners to hide in here !
The role has no direct reports, however you should be open to managing at least one colleague within a year. Man management experience is not however essential for this role.
In return for your dedication and expertise, our client is willing to pay a basic salary of between £45,158 to £49,789 plus bonus, plus company car. You should be based anywhere south of Milton Keynes in the south east quarter of the UK.
