The UK’s bestselling organic childrenswear brand are recruiting for field sales manager situated in the south east of England. Since the company was born in 2004, they have had a growth of 25% each year, they have a rapidly increasing network with over 500 stockists spread around 50 countries worldwide. Over the years they have expanded to 80 permanent team members and are still expanding, and have grown a turnover of £10million.

As they strive to be ethical in everything they do, they donate 1% of their turnover to multiple charities including; a children charity, the Cornwall wildlife trust and an orphanage in India.

In the past twelve months they have been earmarked by the 'Sunday times’ and received gold in the healthy workplace awards.

Their product are aimed at young children, with most of their clothing ranging from cute animals to rainbows & clouds. The clothing is classed as premium and sold within higher market retailers.

The role

The role of field sales manager is to identify new business development opportunities that are in line with the company’s growth aspirations and nurture existing accounts to achieve their full potential. Being confident is face-to-face situations with customers is important. The aim is to grow long term relationships with customers you must be dressed appropriately and show positive body language. You must be able to achieve growth and hit sale targets by successfully managing the sales team. You must be able to attend pop-up shops and represent your brand at a trade fair. You must also be creative and open minded as you will be expected to contribute ideas for the marketing team such as POS, incentives and improvements to the product. You must be able to analyse sales data to ensure that your sales efforts are targeted to maximum effect.

Requirements for the role

  • Strong negotiating skills
  • Full clean driving licence
  • Computer literacy
  • Selling experience in a retail/field sales environment
  • Very organised and excellent time management
  • Detailed planning and objective setting experience as well as analytical skills
  • Relationship building skills
  • Be able to cope with a fast paced environment and tight deadlines.
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Need experience as an assistant store manager
