Nigel Wright are recruiting for a Senior National Account Manager to join an international FMCG business based in the North East. The company are a multi million turnover business who sell into B2B and B2C markets around the world, with a well known portfolio of products. The business are totally unique in structure and are internationally recognised for their contributions to corporate social responsibility and sustainability, so this is a genuinely exiting and unusual role for any experienced public relations candidate to take on.
Role:
Reporting to the Head of Sales, the Senior National Account Manager will look after a wide range of branded & Own Label food products within Waitrose, Ocado & Aldi across numerous categories. This is a challenging role and the demands from the customer base and expectations from the business are high - so our client requires a high calibre candidate who is not afraid of hard work.
The successful candidate will work closely with a cross functional account team, including marketing, NPD and supply chain so strong relationship building skills are essential. This is a homebased role - willing to undertake a high degree of travel to UK sites and customer’s offices
Requirements:
Applicants will have prior experience working in a similar position and level in the FMCG arena, ideally in a food or drink category. You will have good self-awareness, be a natural entrepreneur & self starter, whilst also being able to demonstrate the drive and ability to influence and convince, in order to successfully achieve results.
You will be commercially aware and be able to demonstrate the personal attributes that are required to succeed in this position, which include tenacity, working to challenging deadlines [and in a changing environment!] and problem solving through creativity. In return you will have the autonomy and flexibility to take full accountability of your client base and unlock the growth potential that exists
