A senior opportunity has arisen to join a fast-paced FMCG/consumer goods business viewed as a market leader within their respective category. The group turnover is in excess of £200 million across 3 sites where products are UK manufactured. Our client can offer a fast-paced, dynamic culture where people are valued and rewarded. They are able to demonstrate consistent growth over a sustained period of time. The business has very strong relationships with most major UK retailers including the top 4 grocers and the discount channel. The company are also established internationally across USA, Europe and Canada. Due to an internal promotion, a position has become available for a Trade Sales/Field Sales Manager to join the business.

As Trade Sales/Field Sales Manager you will have 5 direct reports under your leadership. The team work across the UK selling into a variety of customers including independent retailers, garden centres, small department stores and wholesalers. You will need to work strategically to implement a sales business plan for the account base. Part of the role may also involve managing your own customers to support the needs of the business. The role will include regular travel across the UK, you must be comfortable with this and enjoy working with the team/customer base. This person will provide regular sales reports, updates and forecasts to the Trade Controller.

In order to be considered for this fantastic opportunity you must have some experience of managing a sales team. Ideally having sold into similar customer so independent retail, garden centres or wholesalers. You will be operating in an FMCG environment, ideally a consumer goods/non-food category that means you will have transferable skills.
