About the Job
You will be based at the head office approximately two days a week with the rest of the week out and about visiting customers, building relationships and negotiating and driving new products.
There is a requirement to be available on call at weekends too but this is usually for emergencies only.
You will be reporting directly to the Channel Manager and constantly in collaboration with the other central functions within the business (Procurement / Development / Marketing / Operations / Finance). You will target and convert win-win opportunities to enhance the client's customer experience.
You will need to be a hardworking individual. You need to be confident in presentation skills for conveying ideas and strategies to both peer groups and business colleagues. Are you very self-motivated and able demonstrate a knowledge of fresh food?
The role would suit someone who is willing to travel and happy with with overnight stays and occasional weekend working (mostly at events and shows).
Direct supplier experience within the foodservice market place is desirable but the ideal candidate would have catering experience / chef experience and be passionate about food, sales and customer service.
