Field based - will be required to travel to client meetings in the London area and head office in London city (E14)

Our client, founded in 2002, is a family business that has grown into London’s leading quality seafood wholesale supplier, providing quality seafood to the best London hotels, restaurants and Michelin-starred chefs. The role

Our client are now looking for a motivated, highly experienced Business Development Manager, to join their busy and vibrant team. Reporting directly to the Sales Director, you will have strong commercial and strategic acumen. You will be responsible for securing profitable new business in the wider London area, selling the quality of our clients’ products, negotiating contracts, setting up new customers internally, managing your own P&L and continuing to define new customer account relationships.

There is flexibility on location, however candidates will ultimately be required to work from the company’s offices based in London (E14) circa 1 day per week and there will be regular travel to your London prospective customer base.

About you

You are a highly ambitious, driven individual with a personable style which enables you to work as a key member of a small, agile, fast-paced team. Knowledge and passion for seafood, fine food and working in or with professional chefs and kitchens is advantageous but not essential.

You have a little black book of HORECA contacts, all seeking the best products and suppliers. You have built up relationships of trust that has helped drive your career into a Business Development / Commercial Manager role in a B2B environment, with a respected food service provider or FMCG business and now is the time to take on the challenge of your career.
