Account Manager Supermarkets | Horticulture | €DOE
We are working with a well renowned grower and producer of ornamental pot and bedding plants in Ireland. For 50 years this business has provided top quality products across Ireland and thanks to their innovative NPD teams they are constantly bringing out the next best thing in the sector. They supply all major retailers and independent garden centres alike with a mix of branded and own brand products.
As the Account Manager for supermarkets you would be at the forefront of the development of business trade plans across all retailers they currently deal with. You will be responsible for the sales and purchasing of indoor and outdoor plants and measuring and understanding plant compliance with specific requirements. You would also be happy to get on with specific retail trade plans, evaluating prices and the terms & conditions to which they would be set.
Reporting to the Commercial Manager you will be capable of taking a large birds eye view of the horticultural industry and reporting on trends and conducting your own research into innovations within the sector.
We are looking for a real up and coming account manager to get involved with the running of this very well respected horticultural business. The successful candidate will have:
Preferably educated to degree level with an underlying passion for horticulture & sales or experience in and FMCG management role for 3 years or with good experience across the supply chain and seasonal pressures.
You would also have a desire to positively challenge the status quo, a good can do attitude backed up with confidence in your sector and role and the ability to embrace the market opportunities as they arrive.
Proficient in MS Office, computer literate and great communication skills with the ability to give presentations as and when required.
Anyone with extensive plant knowledge and retail experience will be looked on favourably.
