A large Yorkshire based FMCG organisation which is well known for its established quality brands worldwide. This organisation has a very consumer centric approach to its market and has vision and strategic direction at the heart of the company. This is an opportunity to work for a truly global and dynamic organisation who are category leaders across the board.
The Category Management role for this Yorkshire based FMCG company has the following key purposes:
- To provide the strategic framework for the UK Category Management function, including the definition of future category management strategy and resource prioritisation for the company's brands within the major and assigned customers
- To identify and leverage strategic and tactical business opportunities for own account responsibilities through interrogation and interpretation of sales and shopper information in order to gain competitive advantage through insights
The successful applicant for this Category Management role must have had Category Management experience within the FMCG sector and as well as having a business or marketing related degree, be able to demonstrate a good understanding of Category Optimisation in all of the following areas:
- Category Strategy
- Sales Development
- Retailer Strategy
- Excellence at Point of Purchase - Merchandising
- Category Projects
- Category Evaluation and Reviewing
- Business Planning
- New Product Launches
- Customer Relationships
