Our client is a highly successful, privately owned, entrepreneurial, FMCG business specialising in healthy food and drink, health and beauty, sports nutrition and world food categories. With a diverse range of quality products (both company and client-owned brands) and in-house manufacturing facilities, the business has a real passion for brands. Following a sustained period of significant double-digit growth over the past three years and continued investment in both people and manufacturing capability, the company has a clear commitment to growing the business significantly in the UK.

The role

As a result, they are now looking to appoint a Commercial Manager to take on responsibility for the development of a portfolio of existing international clients with exciting innovative brands. The successful candidate will manage the day-to-day relationships with international clients at a senior level. Key responsibilities will include business management, owning the relationship from contract to implementation, to ongoing delivery. Also, account management, utilising internal resources, including marketing, sales, logistics and finance to deliver sustainable growth in line with client objectives. For someone with the capability to grow, this is likely to lead to a long term senior role in the business.

About you

Of graduate calibre, you possess a strong understanding of the UK retail market, excellent commercial skills and extensive experience managing a diverse client portfolio. This role requires a dynamic individual with excellent communicative skills, strong commercial acumen and an organised and fast paced approach — you thrive in an entrepreneurial owner managed environment. You will need to demonstrate plenty of passion, energy and enthusiasm to be seriously considered.
