A unique opportunity has arisen within the leading category of a top global FMCG business. You will have the chance to be part of the dynamic team that manages the development and implementation of the category plans across the Top 4 Grocers. This role is a fantastic opportunity for someone who has the determination to rapidly develop their career in category, as well as a strong commercial capability.
-To develop category plans and propositions by channel and customer aligned to market execution plans
-Build and leverage strong relationships with retail brand owners and grocers
-Leverage core consumer/shopper insights and develop them into winning brand and category strategies
-Line management responsibility
-Be the expert and representative of the category internally and externally
-Manage innovation projects
-Use insight to influence range and merchandising plans at category reviews
-Provide detailed analysis and insights on category opportunities
-Provide analytical support in the development of category plans
-Work with the internal team to meet company targets & brand growth
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:
-Significant commercial background from time spent in a sales, category, brand or customer marketing role in a large dynamic matrix organisation.
-High level of financial literacy and developed analytical skills.
-Able to communicate persuasively and credibly to multiple stakeholders internally as well to customers externally.
-You will also have an advanced knowledge of how to utilise various consumer and shopper data sources in order to support the development of our category and channel strategies.
-FMCG Category experience.
