Merchant Gourmet was launched back in 1995, by the Leathams brothers, who had a passion for discovering real food. Ever since, our professional team have been out sourcing the finest ingredients from across the world.

With the renewed focus around pulses, grains, seeds and nuts, the brand has undergone some major redevelopment over the last year and will be entering new categories with exciting product ranges over the coming months. Coupled with an exciting Brand Marketing plan in 2018, the time is right for the team to be strengthened.

We are therefore looking for a Senior, Knowledgeable, Energetic and Inspirational Commercial Retail Director to accelerate the growth of our Merchant Gourmet brand in the UK and abroad.

The Commercial Retail Director will be tasked to accelerate our sales growth activities by introducing new business opportunities and developing the marketing strategy.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in growing a ‘Challenger’ food brand both here in the UK retail marketplace and worldwide. You will be a driven individual with an innovative mindset, fantastic leadership skills and a foodie.  You will also be a creative strategist with the ability to expand the brand’s commercial and marketing activities to ensure sustainable profitable brand growth.
