Sales Executive – Business to Business, Foodservice and Export

Are you a talented and ambitious sales executive with a proven track record of achievement in the food / beverage sector? Are you ready to take the next step in your career? We are currently searching for a Sales Executive to join an award winning  business that pride itself on delivering high quality products and exceptionally high levels of service. Reporting directly to the Business Development Director you will join a small team working out of offices based in Central London.

The Role

  • To be responsible for all B2B, Foodservice and Export customers, managing and growing sales in these channels in line with the Company’s objectives, business plans and annual budgets and undertaking all necessary customer and sales interface as appropriate.
  • To support the Director of Business Development with market data analysis and presentation for all sales sectors and channels of distribution.
  • To co-ordinate and manage the creation of marketing tools (POS / leaflets / adverts) for all  sales sectors and channels of distribution.
  • To coordinate, when needed, with appointed distributor / logistics provider to ensure deliveries to the above customer base are made in full and on time.
  • To propose annual business plans / budgets are identified for all major customers within B2B, Foodservice and Exports with annual volume and value sales targets by product group with agreed promotional plans and objectives for sales growth also being confirmed.  Subsequently to implement actions to achieve agreed sales volume/value plans/budgets.
  • On a monthly basis, or more frequently if agreed, to forecast monthly sales volumes with distributors and logistics handlers relating to the B2B, Foodservice and Exports including:
  • Reviewing and analysing sales to nominated distributors
  • Reviewing and analysing retailer EPOS data for use in forecasting, promotional and account planning
  • To issue a monthly report detailing sales volume and value performance compared with last year and budget confirming opportunities and threats/concerns.
  • To propose any new business and product listing opportunities and promotional activities.
  • To coordinate samples / sales presenters etc and documentation required for new and existing  customers in respect of all channels of distribution.

The Individual

  • A proven track record of achievement in B2B, Food Service / Export sales.
  • Numerate, with competent skills in Microsoft software (especially Excel and Powerpoint) and have the ability to manipulate, analyse and report data effectively.
  • Organised and adaptable with an attention to detail
  • Commercially strong with good presentational and negotiation skills.
  • An ability to build effective relationships internally and externally and be a team player.
  • A determination to succeed, personally ambitious.
  • Exhibit a commitment to the business and building a sustainable brand.
  • 'A foodie' who enjoys cooking as well and a lover of world foods !!!

The Rewards

In return for meeting the above criteria the successful candidates will be rewarded with a competitive package which includes a basic salary of £27,000 - £30,000 (dependant on skills and experience) and an OTE Bonus of 40%.  The successful Sales Executive will be joining an established business operating at the high end of their market. The business has been supplying major retailers for over 20 years and is continuing their growth in the foodservice sector. They currently export across Europe and wider (including the US, the Middle East & the Far East).
