The Business

CSG are currently working exclusively with a Wine & Spirits Company who are looking to expand in the UK market. They have recently gone through a re-vamp and they are implementing a strategic growth plan focusing on exploring new channels of Route to Market and bringing in new business. Part of this includes the need for a Business Development Manager to join the team and head up the Northern Territory.



The Role

The role will involve driving major distribution growth in existing channels. This will include managing and retaining accounts and also gaining new business within this network. You will also be responsible for bringing in new business and developing a portfolio within newer on-trade accounts, specifically hotels, restaurants, bars and nightclubs. You will devise and implement a luxury/premium/prestige portfolio strategy and identifying suitable opportunities.



The Candidate

My client is looking for someone ideally with a background in wine/ spirits and experience selling premium products would be an advantage. The person will have an entrepreneurial flair and a hunter's mentality with regards to landing new business. This person will be flexible and adaptable to working in new markets. They will have strong negotiating and influencing skills and have the ability to develop key customer relationships as well as the ability to work strongly within a team.
