The wider team are based in Italy - the UK sales and marketing operation located in Beaconsfield is led by Managing Director, Clare Blampied, the original pesto pioneer who set up the business almost thirty years ago.
The UK sales team led by the Commercial Director are responsible for driving distribution of Sacla’ products into a number of UK channels. Long standing trading relationships with the grocery multiples are already in place. The business has ambitious growth plans as it seeks to transform food lives. We are seeking to identify and recruit a Commercial Manager to join the UK team reporting into the Commercial Controller. The position is business critical and of high importance for future growth. In this role you will have full P&L responsibility for at least two major UK customers. You will work cross-functionally with other areas of the business to fully service each customer. This person must be a self-starter, able to quickly spot new opportunities to enhance existing business with the retailers. You will work with a mixture of both brand & private-label products in line with the strategic plans of the business. This offers a unique opportunity to broaden your career and experience in the food industry.
In order to be considered for this position you must have held full P&L responsibility for at least one top 6 major UK retail grocery customer. Experience of managing Waitrose, M&S or Sainsbury’s would be beneficial. You must have worked in the food industry or a closely aligned product arena with transferable skills. We would like to try and identify someone who has had exposure to a mix of both brand and private-label products during your career. This opportunity would suit a Commercial Manager looking to move into a more entrepreneurial, product focussed environment. Or you may currently be working in a larger organisation and looking for more focus on your own personal career development for example. Cultural fit is extremely important, this person must be dedicated, approachable person with a tenacious and positive approach.
