Payroll Administrator-FMCG national food supplier

£19,000-£21,500 plus company benefits

Immediate start!

This position is working for a growing national food business to join their finance and analysis team. You will be responsible for the administration of all site related payroll matters in ensuring records are up to date and legal compliance is met. 

We are looking for someone who is proficient in entering data on payroll adjustments onto a SAP financial system, sense checking output and wage slips. 

Working hours are Monday 06.00 to 14.00 and Tuesday to Friday 09.00 – 17.00. 

Main tasks will include:

  • To correctly and accurately update hours and adjustments onto SAP system and all other information to strict time constraints
  • To ensure imbalances are reported and investigated immediately
  • Accurately maintain colleagues’ attendance records and training database as laid down by the Data Protection Act
  • Cross-reference annual leave requests with current reports and identify any anomalies
  • Efficiently maintain and audit petty cash and telephone takings as per processes
  • To cover input of performance incentive scheme as per processes
  • To offer support with general office duties within the Administration team.

Essential:

  • Previous experience of working in Payroll and Administration Office environment.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, at all levels, along with the ability to interpret and explain information logically and concisely.
  • Strong organisational skills and time management techniques to balance priorities effectively whilst managing multiple work streams to tight timelines.
  • Self-motivating and proactively able to identify improvement opportunities and effectively utilise tools available to achieve and maintain an efficient way of working.
  • Takes ownership and uses own initiative and able to consider all options available before escalating and seeking advice.
  • A good team player who works proactively with others providing help and support as required.
  • Good standard of Microsoft Office applications (Excel and Word) is required as a minimum
