As a member of the UK Category Leadership Team, you will own the development of the Category Strategy and Vision for your allocated categories and be responsible for leading a team of Category Managers to execute this with our customers.

Developing and maintaining best practice processes for Category Strategy, you will be responsible for delivering market relevant strategies to achieve growth for the specified category and K-C Brands.   You will also be responsible for engaging with retailers, influencing them to adhere to our principles to deliver category growth and for bringing outside expertise in to enhance team capabilities and ensure K-C practices are the best in the market.

As someone who has direct leadership responsibility for a team of Category Development Managers, you will be experienced in facilitating a standardised approach across categories and owning coaching and development responsibilities for the team.

Duties & Responsibilities
* To own the development and maintainence of a rolling three year Category Vision and Drivers, including merchandising blueprint, so that output is relevant in current category dynamics and is based on shopper insight with a check and adjust process as required.
* To develop and agree internally and execute externally, a two-year category plan for specified customers which reflects the commercial strategy so that customer and marketing teams can operate in alignment with the plan.
* To provide functional leadership and development to the CDM’s responsible for the delivery of the individual category strategies.
* To provide market analysis for Budget process, and own the development of category growth projections and brand shares by customer so that Budget assumptions are based on latest category information.
* To monitor, evaluate & communicate changes in category, customer dynamics and competitor activities
* To recommend actions to address issues and opportunities affecting the category and/or KC brands both internally and through influencing retail partners
* To provide category specific analysis as requested in order that NPD plans/projects take customers and shoppers into account resulting in maximizing launch and product success.

The Individual
We seek a pro-active, confident, highly collaborative and numerate individual who can successfully build business relationships, present recommendations in an influential and persuasive manner and develop others’ talent. Candidates will be educated to degree level and ideally possess a sales/marketing or business focussed degree. Strong numerical, analytical and communication skills are essential as is the ability to use these skills in a high pressured environment.

This role is available for local candidates already authorised to work in the roles country only. Kimberly-Clark will not provide relocation for this role.

Experience
Extensive experience in a category role or closely related field. Experience working within UK FMCG market would be an advantage.
