Category Manager – Leading Food Business – 2 Direct Reports
Our client has developed from a family business into a leading international food producer operating across the protein category. As they look to take advantage of their leading market share and over 20% YoY growth, they are investing heavily in their sales and marketing departments to help further bolster their product portfolio through successful market understanding and NPD launches.
As Category Manager you will be responsible for driving the relationship with the retailers, developing on their category partnerships and helping to drive the protein category forward. You will be responsible for working with continuous data such as; Nielsen, Kantar and IRI, to develop compelling strategies for the retailers and successful NPD launches. You will be responsible for working with a number of internal stakeholders to drive the category agenda and further develop this new function. You will also be responsible for managing and developing two direct reports – a graduate and category exec.
The successful candidate will have experience operating as a category manager with strong Grocery mults experience. You will be an expert at manipulating continuous data with strong experience of Nielsen, Kantar and IRI and be able to drive insight to action through strong communication and stakeholder management. You will be an excellent communicator and be able to develop compelling and insightful category rationale and presentations to engage both internal and external stakeholders.
Based from their sites in West Yorkshire or Lancashire 2 days per week with the rest of your time spent working from home or with customer this is a role with true flexibility.
