This is a brilliant opportunity to join an exciting and innovative company as a Business Development Manager.



Client Details



Our client is a privately owned and innovative business who specialise in ambient snacking across a variety of channels including wholesale, foodservice, high street retail, convenience and forecourts.



Description



As the Business Development Manager reporting in to the Sales Director, you will have a national remit with the main focus being on securing new business. You will also be responsible for nurturing and growing all the new accounts secured. You will have free reign to target and prospect customers across a variety of channels at a key account and national level.



This is a field based role with the ability to work from home 1 day a week and the need for you to be in the East Midlands based office 1 day a week too.



Profile



Key skills and experience required:

  • Experience within the wholesale, foodservice, convenience, high street retail or forecourt sectors at a key account/national account level
  • Experience or exposure of dealing with buyers at a head office level
  • Proven track record in securing new business nationally
  • Experience within the FMCG industry, ideally ambient snacking
  • Experience in own label/co-manufacturing would be highly beneficial although not essential
  • Brilliant rapport and relationship building skills
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal skills
  • Self motivated in order to work autonomously
  • Attention to detail with strong numerical skills
  • Able to commute to the East Midlands area
  • Full clean driving license
