Area Sales Manager – Non Food (Garden Centres, Gift Shops, Dept Stores)

£30-32,000 Basic, Bonus, Company Car + Benefits

Our Client is a well established Business with an excellent reputation built up over many years.

A vacancy exists for an Area Sales Manager to cover the South East Region. The account portfolio includes independent Garden Centres, Gift shops, Cookshops and Department stores. The account base will also include some independent members of Association of Independent Stores ( AIS ); the AIS deals are all done by head office, so no knowledge of AIS required, but again a very small ( but almost insignificant ) bonus, if a candidate understands the mechanics of buying groups.

Candidates  should have had exposure to any one ( at least ) of the following channels, in order of importance ;

. Garden Centres ( which represents the most potential for growth )

. Gift Stores

. Cookshops

. Department Stores ( High Street being the most challenging in view of the current threats from online retailers ).

Prospects are excellent and candidates should live central to the patch and ideally within the triangle formed by joining Cambridge to Northampton to Enfield ( at 12 o clock on the M25 ).
