Senior Export and Supply Chain Manager | Oilseeds & Crops

We are working with one of the leading agricultural research bodies in the UK to add a talented export professional to their team. Working to deliver industry leading knowledge and up to date information, we are looking for a leading professional who can take on this role and benefit those in the agri-food industry by sharing their knowledge.

The Opportunity:

The basics of this role will be to maximise the export market and its opportunities for the UK cereals and oilseed sector. This will consist of identifying target markets abroad, looking at the entire supply chain from both input to exports and how best to deliver a sector strategy to approach the markets delivering success. This role will involve a great deal of strategy and strategic thinking to best outline a plan that will deliver success across a range of different commodities.

This role will also include a great deal of communications with other managers within the business to best deliver the strategy but also see you in charge of a budget and research tools to best source the information necessary to outline the specific goals and target markets.

The Right Person:

To be successful in this role you will possess the following:

A good proven background and knowledge of the agricultural or food sectors, specifically UK cereal industry. Any international experience will be looked on favourably.

Any fluency in a European language would be desirable.

Experience in business to business marketing, or qualifications e.g. CIM or CPR

Management experience as either a line manager or staff development position.

Great communication, computer and relationship building skills will always be beneficial.
