Job Role: Procurement Manager
Location: Lincolnshire
Salary: £40,000-60,000 (dependant on experience)

We are looking for a talented and senior team member to be based in Lincolnshire for a large food supplier. The right candidate will set up and build a purchasing department meeting the businesses growing needs. Commercially astute, problem solving and strategic thinking skills will all be called upon on in this new and demanding role requiring the individual to undertake international travel and demonstrate a level of self authority. The forming of lasting relationships and conveying of complex commercial concerns between suppliers and end customer is key to delivering in this role.

The successful candidate will be expected to be able to demonstrate the building of successful long term relationships with suppliers and service providers, understanding the complete supply chain, mitigating the risk and costs associated.

Working closely internally with departments the role will generate and deliver a year on year programme of Continued Cost Improvements, aligned with the end customers' expectations. Further, liaising with the internal Finance, operations, logistics and customer services teams the successful candidate will also be expected to manage currency risks, set and manage sensible stock holding levels and ensure production and customer order lead time demands are met.

You will have a proven track record of international procurement in food/fresh and be able to demonstrate lateral thinking and strong negotiating skills. In return our client is offering an attractive package and an opportunity to challenge and stretch the offering for their customers.
