Senior National Account Manager-FMCG Coffee & Equipment provider

£45,000-£50,000 plus competitive commission & package


One of the largest independent coffee & equipment suppliers is looking for a Senior National Account Manager to lead their most lucrative contracts nationwide.

The Role:

My client is looking for a dynamic, well presented, experienced and well-rounded account manager to lead these contracts for them. They are currently supplying coffee and equipment to leading QSR AND Casual Dining groups. You will be experienced in selling and promoting new business whilst developing current contracts. Experience in coffee and equipment is not essential but would be advantageous.

You will be able to communicate on all levels selling in and manage clients of all levels.  This contract needs someone from a branded / corporate background that relishes in change and is extremely adaptable. We are looking for someone who has a minimum of 3 years’ experience in a similar role.

The main aim will be to mobilise machine sales and converting coffee volume at site level.


  • Directly manage the relationship within QSR channel with a key focus on building and developing Head Office client relationships whilst delivering the equipment and maintenance.
  • Manage and mentor 2 Key Account Managers to achieve agreed targets.
  • Work with National Account Controller and Sales Director to review and deliver compelling joint business plans on coffee and machines that deliver new business for the Company and customers.
  • Demonstrate a freshness of approach and questioning of existing practices working closely with southern-based teams, to drive added value initiatives to unlock growth on the account.
  • Successfully build relationships, to develop and grow direct machine sales, demonstrating a balance of being able to deal accurately with details while not losing sight of the overall business plan.
  • Constantly review the main drivers of the P&L and all current processes, systems and methods of business development within the sector to make recommendations for increased efficiency and maximisation of the use of resources, reducing risk.
  • Work closely with internal commercial, operational and technical teams to guarantee delivery of a first class service.

Knowledge, Skills & Experience:

  • Understanding of Coffee and Maintenance contracts is beneficial
  • An ambitious and talented individual who demonstrates drive and entrepreneurialism
  • Holds a solid track record of business development and account management
  • Commercially aware with strong influencing, financial and negotiating skills
  • Dynamic and creative problem solver when there is no precedent/solution
  • Fluid presenter with the ability to communicate strategies and solutions at all levels
  • Proactive networker and enjoys working collaboratively with a geographically dispersed team
  • Previous line management experience an advantage
