National Account Manager – RX Pharmaceuticals

A highly visible role in the sales team. They are looking for fantastic National Account Managers like you to come in and work on their largest and fastest growing area of the business - RX.

The role involves the management of large wholesalers and distribution groups nationally, focussing on the likes of Alliance Healthcare and Accord Healthcare amongst others including Independent Pharmacies and Hospitals. Historically relationships have been harboured by wining and dining these clients, however times have changed and we need someone to come in from a consumer-focused background to work with these bigger clients in a more strategic and operational way.

There’s plenty of progression opportunities as you’ll be working closely with the Senior Leadership Team in the largest part of their UK business which recently grew at 24% YOY. This is an opportunity to cut your teeth in a world class business with clear progression plans into the wider business units available to those with a desire to move forwards.

Whilst they have fantastic world-renowned brands, they recognise they require greater FMCG capability which is where you come in. The investment they are putting into this opportunity and their openness to change management is undeniable. So, if you want something with a different approach then this is the role for you.

 

About You:

They need likeminded people who can work at speed. Their sole focus is on providing the absolute best quality to their consumers and customers.

Above all, we’re looking for an ambitious consumer goods specialist. Whilst previous experience in the OTC pharmaceutical market is beneficial it is not everything - they want someone who is commercially aware, happy to take complete ownership and accountability of their accounts and puts the client first.

These guys want someone to join their business with a passion for progression so just being able to do this job is not enough for them they want someone to come in and work their way through the ranks in any area of the business. If you want to progress, then we want to talk to you.

As National Account Manager you’ll need:

  • Previous Experience in account management including complete P&L responsibility. 
  • Knowledge of using and manipulating category data e.g. Nielsen’s/IRI.
  • To be an organised person who uses their time wisely. This business only wants you to work in the contracted hours so working efficiently is very important.
  • An ability to deal well with ambiguity due to the fast pace, constant changing category that you would be working within.
  • Previous experience of JBP and managing promotional activity.
  • Aspiration to deliver the best for the customer. Really looks at what the customer wants and needs, above and beyond the usual. You need to know the products inside and out and what their value is to each customer.
