Our client is a well-established company within the food industry in the UK. Having grown in recent years, they are hoping to continue this trend by adding a driven Category Manager to their team. This role will primarily involve providing category support to the sales and marketing departments via in-depth market analysis. This is an excellent opportunity for a focussed individual to further their career with a reputable UK brand.

Role

• Generate in-depth market analysis to help identify areas of opportunity and create plans which will allow for them to be capitalised on
• Work with 2 or 3 main customers and provide excellent support, allowing them to grow within the category
• Aid customers further by giving recommendations based on price, range and promotion
• Identify new NPD opportunities and provide customers with rationale
• Ensure branding strategy aligns with category strategy
• Work in conjunction with NAMs to drive customer sales

Person

• Must have category management experience within retail
• Must have experience working with TNS/IRI/Nielsen
• Must have a good understanding of the market – products and consumers
• Ability to work well cross-functional
• Ideally have experience specifically within the food industry

Package

• £35-40k basic salary + £6k car allowance + 5-15% bonus + 25 days holiday + 5% pension
