One of Europe’s most successful manufacturers of high quality, innovate chilled food products have created a new opportunity for a Commercial Executive to drive and further develop their presence within their retail division. The parent company turnovers in excess of £1.2bn, they have established themselves as a leading supplier into the Retail channel. Within this business division they operate from 5 UK sites, supplying Waitrose with over 400 products across a number of chilled categories. The trading relationship with Waitrose dates back to the 1980s and is based on trust and mutual values.

Role

As Commercial Executive you will be responsible for the day to day relationship and management of the longstanding Ocado account as well as a number of smaller B2B accounts. In additional to the management and development of these accounts you will support the wider team in the development of the Waitrose Account. Reporting into the Commercial Manager, you will be given a great deal of mentoring and support with a view for the successful candidate to step into a Commercial Manager role. You will be tasked with maintaining and developing profitable business whilst taking overall ownership of the product category. You will work closely with a number of internal departments such as the Planning, Production, Logistics, Technical and NPD teams.

Requirements

To be considered for this role you must be a driven and dynamic individual with at least two years commercial experience in a short shelf life FMCG food environment . The successful candidate will demonstrate an energetic, positive “can-do” attitude with a desire to deliver the highest levels of customer satisfaction. Relationship building is an integral part to this role, you will need to be able to demonstrate strong internal and external relationship building skills. You will have a keen eye for detail with proven analytical and numerical skills. This role would be an ideal step for an National Account Executive looking to take the next step in their Account Management career with a business that truly invests in their people.
