Job Details

  • Category Leaders
  • High Achieving Team Culture
  • Internationally Recognised Brand

A fantastic National Account Manager opportunity at a top, market leading, global FMCG brand, working within the top four grocery channel (but still with significant scope for growth), based in an attractive London location.

If you're looking for a straightforward sales role then this isn't for you, this is for the top percentile, the best out there, and requires a bigger picture, longer-term-thinking, business manager approach. You'll be a seasoned NAE or have 1-2 years experience of national accounts from a top FMCG business - entrepreneurial, self-starting, analytical, with an ability to build strong relationships and network within the retailer to unlock better relationships across the business (e.g. with category or trade marketing's retailer counterparts). Category management experience and that mind set is a bonus.

You'll be the right-hand man/woman to the senior leadership team so there is also an important requirement for a good degree of gravitas and leadership ability. You need to be proactive and able to make suggestions about how to develop the account. You won't get bogged down in daily reporting, there is plenty of freedom to be strategic.

You'll be able to demonstrate how you've taken account relationships to the next level and really opened them up, have examples of networking you've employed to do this and how you've helped other internal functions on this front too. You'll be someone who will also lead the agenda for the brands future bets so you'll have good vision and be able to identify opportunities. You'll be able to look beyond JBPs to really get under the skin of understanding aspects like what do you and the brand actually bring to the business, how important are you to the customer, what's your contribution and is it sustainable? You'll also be able to challenge the norm and push back, you'll be accountable, resilient, adaptable and good with numbers as well as able to prioritise. This is more than just revenue, volume and reporting, for the right person this is one of the best darn NAM roles out there!

This business is growing at a significant, yet stable and sustainable rate for such an established brand and doing a lot to drive the category forward and innovate into new areas. Expect an amazing team, attractive location and rare opportunity to work for a top tier FMCG business.

Please note that you'll need to have experience in FMCG sales covering retailers in the top four to be considered. Look forward to hearing from you!
