Job Details
Our client is an FMCG business that supports smaller, artisan food manufacturers by helping them to bring their products to market by providing hands on support in areas like sales, marketing and category management. Working with both retail and food service customers the business is well established and growing rapidly, which has resulted in a new role being created in the category management function for an experienced Category Manager.
Are you a talented, grocery category manager keen to gain some valuable experience in the food service channel? A junior category manager already working in food service and looking for a step up? Working in a big corporate and want a role where you feel like you're making a difference?
As food service category manager you will lead on all category projects in this channel, turning insight into action and working cross functionally to recommend strategies that drive performance. You will support the NPD team by working closely with them on range development in addition to setting pricing and promotional activity with national customers. If you're stuck in a one dimensional analysis role and looking for a bit of variety then this could be just the role for you!
The ideal candidate will be bright and inquisitive with a flair for turning insights into something more meaningful. If you have experience in the food service channel, working with development chefs on range development that would be brilliant but it's nothing an experienced category manager with a can do attitude can't handle!
