Key Account Manager – Foodservice wholesale and End Users
Our client already enjoys an enviable position as one of the country’s leading manufacturers of pastry and bakery products into the foodservice channel. We have been briefed to identify and recruit an outstanding candidate to manage Scotland in its entirety.
The client base comprises both foodservice end users ( Horeca ), and ( delivered ) wholesalers, and ideally you will have experience of both of these channels. It would be something of a bonus ( but not essential ) if you also had some experience of selling into small multi-site businesses ( with between 2 and 20 sites ) especially if they happen to be either pub groups, restaurant groups, coffee shops or other Horeca businesses.
Part of the job will be working closely in conjunction with the wholesaler’s own sales teams to ensure maximum success, so some experience of working with third party sales teams would also be a bonus. In conjunction with your work with wholesalers you may be asked from time to time to do a kitchen demonstration in one of their own customer’s premises. This would be a pretty basic demonstration and certainly no need to have come from a cheffing background ( it might be a very small advantage if you did ).
To be considered for this exciting job, you should live in the central belt of Scotland ( in the triangle between Dundee, Glasgow and Edinburgh ) and as the job involved managing the whole of Scotland you should be prepared to stay away overnight for ( on average ) two nights per week.
You should also be an energetic and proactive person with an eye for detail, and a strong desire to succeed.
In return for your dedication and efforts, our client is prepared to pay a basic salary of between £30,895 to £36,104 plus bonus plus company car. Career prospects are excellent for the right candidate.
